Dear Shalom Volunteers… This blog is part of a group we’re starting called ‘SAALT’- Shalom Awareness, Action, & Leadership Team. Salt is often called the “fifth element” after water, air, fire, and earth. SAALT will be the fifth element of Shalom after Volunteers, Guests, Employees, and Administration, seeking to empower all volunteers to become leaders of social change. We plan to meet in October to discuss individual concerns, stories, and to reflect on service at the Center. Information about this meeting will be announced on this site at a later time.
