I think the Lorax meant, "Unless" we do it, none else will. But, your point is a good one. Martha's House and other shelters require that the individual requesting help, try to contribute by doing things to help themselves (soberness, clean criminal record, etc.). In some cases, this is completely possible. But most of the guests who use the services of the IWS are not uncontrollably drunk or disorderly. Most of those with addictions cannot simply show up sober. If they could control it, then it probably wouldn't be classified as an addiction. And seriously mentally ill people have gotten the short end of every stick in Indiana. A person with a debilitating mental disorder should not be left to fend for themselves. They should housed and fed by either the state or federal government.

Jon's words were very eloquent. I met him last summer at Martha's House. He is another nice person in a bad set of circumstances.

Bloomington AND Indiana University ought to step up to the plate and help out. The costs of Genesis aren't that great and the religious community should not have to bear them.

I'm really enjoying the design and layout of your website. It's a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more pleasant for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a designer to create your theme? Superb work! Regards Clinton
